Vague is taken from the Vaccinationism Series

Vague is inspired by a Vogue cover featuring Twiggy. This issue was released at a time when birth control pills were being introduced and discussed the implications of blood clots. It was on the 23rd May 2021 that the Radio one presenter Lisa Shaw died that George started this piece, having heard she died due to a blood clot relating to her vaccination.

Artwork delivered as a poster on high quality thick gloss paper

“The Vague piece highlights the health concerns that are associated with COVID vaccinations and the genuine fear that has been raised regarding this subject. I think that this illustration brings into discussion whether it is fair to judge people that are afraid of the medical implications that are circulating in the news associated with the vaccinations. I hope this artwork promotes more discussion about this topic.” - George Cox

Lawyers Arts Club was established in 2020 by a Lawyer and an Artist as a Club hosting and promoting engagement of those interested in, or connected with, the Law & Arts. From our Arts hub in the heart of Birmingham's artistic quarter we host events, discussions and exhibitions around the artworks we produce in house. All artworks are based around a legal narrative and provide discourse and discussion around the most significant legal issues of our time. Lawyers Arts Club artworks are unique, original and limited. Lawyers Arts Club members include solicitors, councillors, legal professionals, artists and other creatives.

The LAC are consistently producing artwork, articles and content with a legal narrative. From our Arts hub in Birmingham city centre we are hosting more events, discussions and exhibitions for the year the Commonwealth Games and the Queens Platinum Jubilee come to Birmingham. Expect more original artworks, books, apparel and merchandise to come. Selected artworks are to be minted as NFT’s as we continue to build the LAC into the metaverse with our own club, arts studios and courtrooms. The LAC was established in 2020 with an aim to be around in hundred years and therefore approach everything we do with a long term and trusted ethos.
