The Logo

The LAC logo represents each aspect of who we are as an organisation. The central image of Lady Justice demonstrates the moral force in the judicial system and therefore depicts the importance of balance in the work we do.

The Law is at the centre of everything we create; the club is rooted in Law and therefore this takes precedence on the logo. The image of Lady Justice has been altered with the sword replaced with two paintbrushes. There are two brushes rather than one as we believe you cannot paint everyone with the same brush. By removing the sword, a symbol of transparent justice from the logo, we can integrate interpretation and metaphor. Paintbrushes represent the Artists role as a key catalyst in revolution and conversation.

Our art originates from a place of discussion in current affairs and each artist has a different viewpoint or experience. Our deliberations are unbiased allowing the Artwork to be interpreted by the audience.

The roman numerals MMXX are the final detail in our logo.  2020 was the year we were established and is an important time stamp in our journey as a company. 2020 already has a place in the history books as it marks the start of the Coronavirus pandemic. We recognise the detrimental repercussions of Covid-19 in several of our artworks and exhibits. Through the artwork we continue to create; we try to provide anecdotal respite from the devastation of the past two years whilst also acknowledging other areas of current events.

Our logo is carefully constructed to represent our values as a brand. We intend to be around for many years and therefore created a logo to substantiate this. As a company centred around the Art scene; we believe image is important and therefore our logo is reflective of this drive.
