Sex.
The title Sex is taken from the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919 section 1.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF A SINGLE WORD
In the beginning was the word. Words trigger discussion. A singular word with eternal importance often depicted as an action (sexual activity) rather than a determination (determine the sex of). The sex question has been asked since 1801.
WHY SEX?
Sex and gender are terms used interchangeably but they are two different concepts. For most people sex and gender are the same. Only for the few it is not. A woman is by definition an adult human female, not a subjective inner feeling. Sex is being erased as a distinct biological and political class.
WHAT LAW IS ON THE WALL?
The legal context in this act showcases the significance of the word sex in a piece of legislation, sealed by Her Majesty with the royal stamp.

A person shall not be disqualified by sex or marriage from the exercise of any public function, or from being appointed to or holding any civil or judicial office or post, or from entering or assuming or carrying on any civil profession or vocation, or for admission to any incorporated society (whether incorporated by Royal Charter or otherwise).
THE ACT THAT ENABLED WOMEN TO HOLD PUBLIC OFFICE.

THE THREAT TO SEX
Sex is biologically determined and gender identity is an own personal choice however they can not define their assigned sex at birth or can they differ from it. We are one of two, male or female we are not one of the many identity theories that are gender expressions.

Gender: Gender can be defined by the individuals reference to his or hers social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. MINISTERIAL AND OTHER MATERNITY ALLOWANCES BILL
This bill has cleared the House of Commons after receiving an unopposed third reading.
MPs have voted to give ministers formal paid maternity leave for the first time, hailed as an “important and long overdue change”. However the language of the bill which refers to a person rather than a woman has come under severe criticism.
It will now undergo further scrutiny in the House of Lords.
