Our latest Club Project is in commemoration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. The Queen is to become the first monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. The Lawyers Arts Club have commissioned this artwork to celebrate the Queen as the head of the Commonwealth in this illustrious year for Birmingham as we host the Commonwealth Games 2022 this summer.

Resident artist Harri Hampson has recreated the badge for the Platinum Jubilee with a homage to the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom flag. Hand illustrated text reads 'Platinum Jubilee' and 'Elizabeth II' The silver cross in the middle of the badge is a reference to the Birmingham coat of arms which was the inspiration behind the artwork. The Queen's portrait has been illustrated over the badge in the same format as Her Majesty graces our currency.

This artwork comes in six different colour ways. The six colours chosen by the artist are significant, as the colours red, yellow, green, blue, white and purple are all featured in British insignia, emblems, badges, crests and flags.

Lawyers Arts Club was established in 2020 by a Lawyer and an Artist as a Club hosting and promoting engagement of those interested in, or connected with, the Law & Arts. From our Arts hub in the heart of Birmingham's artistic quarter we host events, discussions and exhibitions around the artworks that we produce in house. All artworks are based around a legal narrative and provide discourse and discussion around the most significant legal issues of our time. Lawyers Arts Club artworks are unique, original and limited with only few hundred ever made. Lawyers Arts Club members include solicitors, councillors, legal professionals, artists and other creatives.

The LAC are consistently producing artwork, articles and content around a legal narrative. From our Arts hub in Birmingham city centre we are hosting more events, discussions and exhibitions for the year the Commonwealth Games and the Queens Platinum Jubilee come to the city. Expect more original artworks, books, apparel and merchandise to come. Selected artworks are to be minted as NFT’s as we continue to build the LAC into the metaverse with our own club, arts studios and courtrooms. The LAC was established in 2020 with an aim to be around in hundred years and therefore approach everything we do with a long term and trusted ethos.
