Hysteria is taken from the Vaccinationism Series by Lawyers Arts Club

Hysteria is inspired by the movie poster for the 1940 Disney classic Fantasia and features Mickey Mouse as an NHS worker waving the slogan 'I've been vaccinated'.

“I feel that the Hysteria piece addresses the desperation that has been caused as the country works through vaccinating the population. Naturally, through this process, and depending on one’s location, some people have had access to a vaccine before others. Although by the time this piece will be released, most of the population will have been give the opportunity to get vaccinated, is it fair to discriminate against people that not had access to a vaccine yet even though they want one?”
— George Cox

Hysteria was created by resident artist George Cox

Lawyers Arts Club was established in 2020 by a Lawyer and an Artist as a Club hosting and promoting engagement of those interested in, or connected with, the Law & Arts. From our Arts hub in the heart of Birmingham's artistic quarter we host events, discussions and exhibitions around the artworks that we produce in house. All artworks are based around a legal narrative and provide discourse and discussion around the most significant legal issues of our time. Lawyers Arts Club artworks are unique, original and limited with only few hundred ever made. Lawyers Arts Club members include solicitors, councillors, legal professionals, artists and other creatives.

The LAC are consistently producing artwork, articles and content around a legal narrative. From our Arts hub in Birmingham city centre we are hosting more events, discussions and exhibitions for the year the Commonwealth Games and the Queens Platinum Jubilee come to the city. Expect more original artworks, books, apparel and merchandise to come. Selected artworks are to be minted as NFT’s as we continue to build the LAC into the metaverse with our own club, arts studios and courtrooms. The LAC was established in 2020 with an aim to be around in hundred years and therefore approach everything we do with a long term and trusted ethos.
